Other citation tools

Several citation tools are available. You do not need to use all of them; choose the one that best suits your research and writing workflow.


Library Hub Cite Functionality 

A simple way to add citations to your essays and assignments is to use the cite functionality available in the Library Hub.

Books & eBook Search

  1. Click the "Cite" button from the record you want to cite.
  2. Select the Citation Style from the drop down (e.g. Chicago (notes - bibliography) 17th ed.)
  3. Cut and paste the selected citation into your document.

Articles & More Search

  1. When you locate the required resource click "Cite" from the Tools menu.
  2. Scroll down the list until you see Citation Style you require (e.g. Chicago/Turabian: Humanities). 
  3. Cut and paste the selected citation into your document.

NOTE: It is important not to just copy and paste these citations. Always check the citations you download for any minor errors. 


Alternative Programs

Mendeley - Allows you to add papers directly from your browser, import documents from your desktop, and generate references, citations and bibliographies in a whole range of journal styles.

eBook Citation Tool  - Allows you to manually enter an eBooks details into their relevant fields to automatically generate a citation for you.
